Nobody had a clue the influence this brand would have. Simply remarkable.

Growing up I use to watch Bowerman & Knight making shoes in a small business park in Beaverton Oregon, every so often I would see childhood idol Steve Prefontaine come by. They use to throw defect shoes away by the handful in a dumpster, could only imagine what they would be worth today to shoe collectors.

oh please

Then I hope you boycott the other hundred if not thousands of companies that exploit low income workers plus all professional sports for inequality of pay compared to the manufacturers of their apparel

Gave my Nike's to Goodwill and will not be buying anything from them ever again. Let's see how their turn far left will play with sponsorships in conservative parts of the country. They chose to make Kapernick their poster boy and, with every subsequent decision, marginalizes themselves in the marketplace.

Nike will be ok.

The kid will still get his $300 shoes
The person will still spend $$ on a Tiger Woods gold shirt
People will still buy NBA Jerseys
Nike sponsors a zillion NCAA teams and people will buy their gear

Just read that the US Woman's world cup jersey is the highest selling jersey ever on nike (or something like that).

Do you know who isnt buying Nike? The person who is boycotting Nike who MAYBE spends up to $100 per year (if that) purchasing Nike Products.

New Balance, Puma, and Umbro are EXCITED for this new business!!

Actually, the NCAA shoe contracts far outweight even those $100 spenders or the other groups you (Knightrofins) name. BTW, not related to Phil Knight right?

I can see where school administrators and (more importantly) Boards at some university may have something to say when the contract is up. To that end, for the 2017-18 season, Nike lost Washington to Adidas plus Adidas picked up six other schools to surpass UA. Nike has the big-time football schools, but let's just think for a moment about the SEC and Big12...not alot of liberals there worried about the flag on shoes or the views of Colin Kapernick's girlfriend. Keep an eye on the contract outcomes to get a truer indication of impact. Also...in case anyone is wondering, I know the relationships between the shoe companies and the coaches/schools are fillled with kick-backs and bribes...that's the system that everyone accepts until the athletes unite and refuse to play.
